After some weeks of research we have finally found the perfect location for the German Drupal Bar Camp in Berlin. It is going to take place in the former "Stadtbad Wedding" from may 14-15 in 2011.
This is going to be the first Drupal camp that will take place in a swimming pool!
The location is quiet amazing it is a indoor swimming pool and was erected in 1907 since some years it is out of use and now it mainly serves the purpose of an event location. It has total space of appr. 2.000m2 and a big outdoor terrace (hopefully we will have BBQ). Wedding used to be a district for workers. Most of them didn't have sanitary installations. So Wedding‘s citizens were happy to use the numerous bath tubs in Stadtbad Wedding to get rid of the dirt of the week‘s work. The single tubs were rented out by the minute. A lot of exhibitions an partys already to place there. It's a fancy experience sitting in the pool with your laptop - of course without water. Guess we will have the keynotes there.
So now we are really looking forward whats going to happen next year in may. I have some picture here. (Sorry for the quality - i made them with my phone … )
